Does anyone know of a place I can get wiper blades for my CJ? I just ordered some through JC Whitney and got one's that don't fit. After calling them, I was given the number for Omix-ADA, which is where THEY got them from. They checked and said yep...those won't fit...and we don't have anything that'll fit your vehicle.

My wiper arms are basically straight, with a little 'hitch' at the end that continues on for about a quarter inch. On top of that little 'hitch' is a nipple that should sort of 'snap' into an opposing hole in the wiper blade attach point. I think these are stock arms from a 74. If it's easier, I could replace the arms AND blades. If there is some aftermarket arm/blade combo that will fit the wiper posts comin out of the windshield, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Steve

AANCO makes a arm/blade with an adjustable length and angle - its what I used on my intermediate w/s.

I got mine from NAPA. I don't remember the brand, sorry. Fit the stock arms on my 75 perfectly. I thought they were kind of expensive, though.
The NAPA guy said the only reason he stocked them was because there were so many old CJ's in the area. Worst case, you would probably have to order them, could take a couple of days.
Edit/ I just remembered they were adjustable, once mounted on the arm, they can be adjusted about 1" up or down. I've got the tall curved top windshield, and I'm tall, so it was nice to be able to slide them up and get better coverage a little higher on the windshield.

Just recieved my winter blades. I haven't installed, but they look like they fit. This is the second pair I have ordered from them. Good company, fast shipping.

Thanks all. I just ordered from 4wd.com. Hopefully they'll be the correct one's when I get them. Supposedly, the JC Whitney one's were mis-labeled or something.

    Again, thanks for the links!

I bought replacement blades several years ago for the '74 windshield I have from a Crown Automotive dealer here. They were about 6 or 7 dollars each but fit right on. They only fit the curved top glass, won't fit the flat top glass.....

I ordered W116 from 4wd.com. Trico Exact Fit Wiper Blades. We'll see how 'exact' they 'fit' once I receive them. They were about 8 bucks a piece.

If you have an import parts house near you VW bug blades are the same size or close enough.

13"??? That's the size our VW used.

My TJ too. I bought Bosch 13" blades for those at the FLAPS.

I thought Jeep wiper blades were like 11"?

    The one's I got are 11's.

I hate to say it, but I can't for the life of me get these "winter" blades to work. The plastic attachment pieces just don't work. I think I'm going to send them back and get the one's I bought before. Really, these winter blades are just normal blades with a rubber cover over the whole thing. Should have just ordered the right ones in the first place:rofl::rofl:

So, with winter rolling in and snow on the way, I'll have to run old blades until I get the new ones.

What about marine wiper blades. They come in the 12" range and should be of good quality.

I just installed new wiper arms and blades from 4wdhardware on my 73. The arms look just like the orginals but the blades are black and look like a little newer style. The blades would hit the rubber windshield seal on the top, they were only about a 1/4 to long, so I took my tin snips and trimmed the flexible plastic that the rubber is attached to with my tin snips, I think scissors would cut them, and now they fit and work perfect. You can't even tell I trimmed them either.
