I have seen previous posts where someone had some Hurricane Engine Decals that they had made or ordered. Does anyone know if these are available commercially, or from a member that might have some spares? I have tried searching the threads but have come up with bupkus (I'm probably doing something wrong).

My son and I are still wrenching away on our (his) '69. We have rebuilt the entire motor, and I am having a buddy of mine do the body work. I figure we've got another year left before it's ready, or until my wife says that I've spent too much (is that possible?). I am currently rebuilding the Koenig Winch and Ramsey Dual PTO, and going through the T98 to see whether it needs to be freshened up as well.

At any rate, thanks to all that make this website possible, it's a veritable trove of helpful information. I am hoping that I have finally figured out this "Avatar thing" for my profile and that I will finally have one shown when this gets posted (doubtful).

Thanks for the reply Sparky. I looked through those posts already but still didn't see any vendor that carries Hurricane decals. Bearcreeksurvey and others shows Buick Dauntless decals but none for the Hurricane. What am I missing?:coffee:

Thanks everyone for all the information. I was able to find them on one of the suggested websites, and ordered spares (don't tell my wife). This site is so good, I am even being sent advice all the way from down under!

down under........... that is a matter of perspective, i have always wondered who made the choice that north was the top, maybe everyone in the world has the wrong perspective, maybe we are on top and you are downunderR)
but seriously one sure fire way of finding who's in the parts game to make a buck and who is the parts game to assist AND make a buck is to send 20 companies an email asking if they will export to the other side of the planet, i could provide a list of the over 50% that didn't even reply to my email.

    Chris,

I know what you mean about which side of the world is up. I travel a lot in the Asia Pacific rim and have been lucky enough to visit Australia on several occasions ( I have an Attache' posted to Sydney that reports to me). It is amazing that in the current world of "global free trade", you can't get 50% of suppliers to have the decency to give you a reply. If you encounter a problem that I could help you with regarding getting parts for your Jeep and I could assist you, please let me know.

Dan where did you find your avatar? Brought back some memories. I ate the snakes years ago...68-71. Come to think of it, thats older than my jeep. Sheesh, I'm feelin a little aged here...

    Farfle,

My son got the SF crest from some website (military.com maybe?). I was going to use the Ranger Tab because I spent a majority of my time in the Ranger Bn's but the Avatar looked too big. I retired in 2000 after 23 years. It seems like a long time ago, and now my son is going in as soon as he finishes school (college).
