    Hey everyone,
Having grown up in the 4wd world, I have always loved the old school stuff. A few of us were talking about the old days a while ago and I got to thinking about a old school off road website...well, I have done it. It still needs a lot of work, but the basics are there at www.offroadaction.ca

We are looking for pictures of old school stuff...lets make the cutoff at anything before 2000. Post up pictues and stories in the forum or email them to me at weskibble@offroadaction.ca and I will put them in the gallery. We are also seeking people that can give input or write articles about the history of 4wd and/or articles about feature vehicles. If you have a restored vehicle, or a vehicle that is modified like they did in the old days, let me know. We are always looking for something new...or should I say old. Currently on the plate is a series of articles from the new owner of a 1969 Vic Hickey prepared Chevrolet race truck . He also owns a Hickey race Blazer, a race Olds 442 and the famous Hickey Baja Boot. Also coming soon is an article on a restored 52 Dodge Power Wagon and a bone stock 66 Bronco Roadster.

So, if you love desert dogs and terra tires, think that mullets are hip, wonder why anyone would use an electric winch instead of a pto winch and know for a fact that automatic hubs are for pansies, check out www.offroadaction.ca If you do not know what desert dogs, terra tires and a pto winch are, you definatly need to check the site out!

Good question! I know that Formula was owned by Armstrong near the end, but other than that, they sort of fell off the face of the earth when radials started becoming popular...hmmm...

Armstrong sold the molds to a private party around 20 or so years ago. A few sets were made and then the molds disappeared. They are VERY popular in the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association as rear race tires as they allow you to really control the rear in controlled slides. That's why I had them. Getting out of racing so sold off the ones I had to another racer except the pair on the Race Jeep to keep it rolling around until I pull the motor. Nickmil
