Need Help-I bought my 73 about two months ago and I have been working here and there at my brother in law's shop to get it going. Did not know if motor worked because it had been sitting there for a year and a half. Took out the gas tank clean it and Finally got the v8 304 motor going- ...love the sound of it..the holley carb leaked but replace a seal and she was good to go. Changed 2 drums in front and replaced all wheel cylinders and brake pads ...did not know that to go back while driving you put it in first..weird..anyhow the problem that I have is that it seems that before take off as you are releasing the clutch it kind shakes...like up and down-in other words its not solid coming up...now its missing some body mounts ..the shocks are shot I think and also needs leaf replacements..so it needs work..the frond fenders have to be made solid again as they are loose...could that be the reason for the pedal for the clutch to shake ? and is it me or is it kind weird to drive a 3 speed ? is it a good transmission? thanks for reading and hope answers come my way thanks.. oh yeah and the frame seems to tilt to the left-could this also be shock and leaf spring related ?

The "chatter" you feel when engaging the clutch is probably caused by bad engine mounts, bad tranny mount, or a combination of both. As you describe the rest of the rig I assume these need replaced anyway. Replace these mounts; that might cure that chatter when engaging the clutch. If it doesn't... could be debris or oil on the disc or pressure plate, or warped disc or high spots on the flywheel, or weak/broken springs on the PP. In this case it's best to drop everything out and install new clutch components and resurface the flywheel.

Warning! Following the advice below may cause expensive parts to break!!
You can try slipping the clutch a bit against an immoveable object, like the front bumper against a stout tree, or tach it up to about 3k and dump the clutch  I've seen both of these methods work to some extent on other rigs, but much depends on the condition of the components and what is causing the chatter... of course there is risk of other breakage involved... so take this advice at your own risk...

Not sure what you mean by this statement:
"...did not know that to go back while driving you put it in first..weird..."
    ?????????????

    The 3-speed with the 304 V8 should be a T15 transmission. It's a strong 3-speed.
Driving a 3 speed takes some getting used to, I guess.... if you didn't learn to drive on them like I did ;)

Many of these Jeeps have the "Jeep lean", many had it from the factory when new. There was a kit the dealers would install, essentially a block between the spring and pad on one side to balance it out. You can replace the springs with new stock height, or Rancho 1" lift size, or many of us have chosen a 2.5" suspension lift from companies like BDS, Skyjacker, Superlift, etc. The 2.5" lift allows you to run up to 33" tires. Sometimes the Jeep will still lean after all new springs/bushings/shackles, etc.

Welcome aboard Ricardo, hope some of this helps.

Thanks a lot Lynn-this info will definitely help me to start working on those things and see if that is the issue.. and in regards to this statement..

what I meant was that since I started driving I have never use a 3 speed so it was weird to put reverse as if I was going in first .. just will take some getting used to.. thanks a lot for all this info...

R)I knew exactly what you meant by that. Try being use to driving a 5speed TJ all the time, and jumping in an old 5 with a 3speed that you haven't driven in a few months. I make sure I pay more attention to what I'm doing nowadays.
