OK... I got another question as I am putting my frame on the trailer tonight to go to get sandblasted i'm looking at rebuilding the T86 and D18 that i have or at least putting in new seals if it's OK.... Now I'd like to see if anyone can help me tell if this T-Case is capable of having a twin shifter... One Shifter for 2WD/4WD and the other for High/Low when in 4WD. I'm sure if my verbage is incorrect someone will correct me. Below is a pic of what I'm trying to describe. I seen on hermsthe OD guy he has a twin shifter conversion kit and curious what I should know before I jump into anything...... IE gottchas .....

You need to change the shift rails, front output housing, sticks, pivot pin, anti-rattle clip, and lock bolt to do a stock twin stick. You could fab something up but a lot of work. This will require disassembly of the transfer case. Nickmil

my shift set up looks different(1966 cj5, 4cyl) the shifter twists instead of moving up/down/left/right. I was under the impression that it was originally a twin stick, one for each rail and a previous owner converted it to single. i dunno!
