I'm installing my new shims up front to correct my castor angle, Should the flat or the angled side of the shim go against the springs?

Flat side against the spring and the fat end toward the front of the Jeep.
    Are these ones I made?

Yep, That's them. You did a good job on them. If I can't find a new spring center pin would it be alright to get a grade 8 bolt that size and use it? I know the head want be as big.

I just use an allen head bolt. Works great. Ace Harware has an assortment.
