Just got done installing my new EZ wiring harness on my 71 CJ5 w/ 225 V6. What a great product and only took me two days..... I am proud of it it is the first major electrical thing i have done.....

Now for the first main problem.... all others can wait to troubleshoot....

The jeep will turn over and stay running if and only if i continue to hold the switch to start. As soon as i let the switch go back to run it dies. There is fuel going to it. I checked all my connections and they seem to be good and tight.

    PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks in Advance

first thing to check would be with the key in the on position, is power getting to the coil. If not, then the power wire to the coil is not connected properly at the switch.
    that would be my guess.

    Hey, Hooker!
If you have the power coming from the solenoid, that only supply's power when the engine is cranking. That's exactly what I did, too.

Connect the "ign" wire from the the ignition switch to ballast resistor, that will feed power to it when the key is in the run position. Wire from the solenoid to the coil. That will supply full 12V to the coil when you are cranking. That should do it.

I got help from Lomar and many others on cj2a page. You can read the full discussion here: http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=7717
