I am having problems with this jeep running, I thought it was a carb issue, but now I think it is an ignition issue.

    Here's whats going on:

Engine starts good and is getting plenty of fuel. It idles great, and revs good, but as soon as I let the clutch out, it misfires and then revs, which leads to the jeep bucking around. Once I let the clutch out, if I dont push the gas pedal, it idles fine down the road. As soon as I push down on the gas pedal, it cuts out and revs again.

Any idea what this could be?

    Thanks

  2. Look under the dash and see if you have ignition wires that are shorting out on your pedel and associated parts. This happen to me also years ago.
