I had buy a repro tank for my '66 CJ5 V6 (November 65 build). The original fuel line is 5/16 with an inverted flare male at the tank.
The original tank had a 5/16 inverted flare female.

All of the repro tanks have 1/4" inverted flare female on the tank.

Anyone have a source of the strait reducer needed to go from the 1/4" to 5/16" fittings without lots bubba plumming adapters? I would like to keep the original 5/16" fuel line as original. it makes a 90 degree turn up into the tank.

Most of the catalogs, Dorman, McMaster etc do not seem to have inverted flare male or 5/16 fittings.

I radiator or "Renu" gas tank repair shop might replace the 1/4 with 5/16. I had a shop put a 3/8 inverted flare in my leaky tank - that they renued and garanteed for life. AM

    Thanks,
Found one at a local trailer-brake specialist. Its an oddball but they exist.
    Now one step closer...
