Steering options

    I was wondering if there was a way to convert my 74 cj5 steering(no tilt) to gmc steering (tilted steering wheel)

    Get a caddy steering column at pic and pull. You have to cut and modify the column a bit, get a wiring diagram to graft the wiring together and adapt the steering rod etc. It's not really that big a deal. Makes for a nice upgrade.

    Just did it to my 73, non-tilt, but thats just a matter of changing the column.
    Just search for Steering Column, there's a lot of good info in here.

    There was a post a while back with the correct colors.
    If you're interested I can stumble out to the shop and get my diagram.
