I bent my tie rod. Its about a 30* bend centred about 3" from the drivers tie rod end. I want to get a new one for peace of mind but I would like one of a little better quality than OEM style. Any suggestions?

There are a LOT of heavy duty alternatives out on the market. Check yer fav 4 wheel drive supplier and look for heavy duty tie rods... Go as heavy duty as you feel like paying for. Good luck.

    Not pretty but..

You may want something flashy, but I welded some 1/8 angle iron onto the tie-rod for added strength. If this setup bends a little, you can usually bend it back -- many times when you try to move back a similar bend in a stock rod, it will crack. However, for offroading, I do still carry a spare -- in case I set the tie rod on top of a rock or something.
