Hi guys, I've just installed the heavy duty greasable shackle kit on the front of my CJ-5 but after a search for information here on the site I am second guessing that choice. They are the type with no rubber just grooved bronze. My search seems to tell me that they will wear out quicker and cause a harsher ride. Is this true? If it is I think that I should take them out and install the original type.

seems like solid metal like that wouldnt allow for any side to side flex or twist. could be better on the street but definatly worse off road. Since youve already got them installed id run them for a while and see how they behave

Well I am a long way from getting the jeep back on the road and I dont feel like having to rip it apart too soon once I do. I already bubbafied one side, the bushing refused to go in the last 1/8" and actually got kinda squished on the end I was pressing in with a vise. I was going to just Dremel the little bit that was sticking out off. I am thinking that I should just cut my losses now and get the OEM type but I also hate to throw $34 down the drain like this.
