    I have recently purchased what I belive to be a 1973 cj5. But I can't find a VIN# all I have is a serial # it is as follows: 8305015 260983. Can anyone help me to decode this and tell me what model it is and give me more info.

    I looked at the info given to me by sparky but, it still doesn't give me a year model. This is my numbers 8305015260983

    Looking at page nine of the PDF in that thread, I'd surmise it was a 1970 model made in late 1969, originally an F-head.
