I just sold the 38.5's off of my 1974 CJ5. I am looking for some pictures and ideas on what everyone else is running I would like ot go 33-35's if anyone has any pictures of this combo. Right now I have 3.73 gears with a 3 speed 15x10 wheels 3" body lift that I might ditch for a 1" and rancho springs. Im not sure how tall it actually is. Any pictures and info on your setup would be nice. Also how can I measure and make sure the rancho springs are giving 2.5" of lift that is the only rancho springs I have ever seen for this year Jeep sp I assum that what they are.

33x14xr15, rims are 15x10's, 2" wheel spacers. stock saggy suspension, no body lift. cut front fenders, rear fenders untouched (so far). at FULL stuff in the rear, i think it slightly touches about the whole circumfrence of the fender, but wasn't enough to cause prolems, and it only touched like that one time. planning on putting 2.5" yj suspension on in future-it sits in my garage waiting for new mounts to be welded to new frame. handles GREAT. does not feel tipsy or top heavy, if you like or don't mind the cut or tube fender look, no problems here.

i have newer and better pictures at home that have not been added to photobucket yet. when i do so, i can forward you a couple more pics so you can see how it sits.

I also have a 74CJ5. I am not sure on the lift. But my 33X12.50X15's look pretty good to me.

Are you SURE those are stock springs, not a previous owners lift springs all rusted up and nasty so they look like original equipment? I know exactly what 31" look like under a stock saggy suspension because mine was that way when I got it. The tops of my tires were flush with the edge of the wheel well opening. Couldn't fit my fist above the tires. In your pick I could darn near fit my head in there. Also, your front shackles are not stock.

34x10.50 Swamper LTB's on factory 15x7 spoke wheels. 4" lift. I wish I had kept them rather than switching to 35's. I plan on buying another set. [IMG]

shackles are not stock, but they don't seem any bigger than stock ones, if they are larger, it is definately not even an inch. i believe they are just more heavy duty?

someone looked at my springs before and told me they were stock. i THINK (cant quite recall without going and looking again) there are 9 leaves on front axle and 7 leaves on rear axle? is that not the stock hd springs? i really don't believe there is a lift.

also note that i did cut my fenders near flat, that took off a few inches at least of the metal as well as the plastic fender, i don't think it would fit with those tires and the fenders uncut.

next week i will try to post pics of my springs and let you all be the judge of if there is a lift or not.

ok, yet to put up some pics of my springs, but i believe when i counted, i had 6 leaves in the front and 8 in the rear.

does that sound right? stock or lift? i was already under the assumption that they were stock. also, someone took a look underneath before and told me they were stock...
