Is there any adjustment in the gear box of my 1974 CJ5 304 with power steering? Is has some slop in it not a hole lot but I figured I would adjust on it while I was fixing everything else up.

There is an adjustment externally for the sector shaft (pitman shaft) but normally requires removal of the gear box and an inch lb. torque wrench. To properly adjust a Saginaw box there is some disassembly required of the box and adjustments made as it is reassembled. I'd highly recommend you get a copy of the factory service manual or at least the portion that covers these adjustments before attempting it. If too tight the gear box will bind and not allow you to steer.
