Are D27 and D30 NT axle shafts swappable?

I've got a 71 CJ5 [for sale in the classifieds] with a Dana 27 front axle with the hubs & disc brakes off a 78 CJ5 narrow track Dana 30. I'm trying to decide whether to sell the D30 axle shafts that came with the donor axle or not. I remember reading a while back that I should hold onto them for a trail fix shaft swap; however, my searching this morning could not yield anything that hinted that was possible. Could someone set me straight?

 

The 27 has 10 spline inner and outer axles, the 30 has 27 spline inner and outer axles. The 30 is slightly wider as well, so no, they won't easily swap.
