FWIW, I converted my 75 with junkyard parts 18 years ago using a saginaw power steering box off a Monte Carlo ( but just about any will work) and a pump and bracket off an AMC V8. FLAPS offers the power steering pressure side hose and hose for the return line. Did it all for $100.
Just bought another box for my 47 off a 91 Camaro for $35.
Let us know how it turns out...

Just keep in mind if looking for parts that later boxs and hoses have a o-ring fitting. Make sure you buy hoses, box and pump that match or you will end up getting special hoses made.

Stock steering box is fine if you fabricate a brace to support it to the opposite side of the chassis. M.O.R.E builds them for $63

I'm also planning on ordering the parts to do the power steering steering conversion on my '73 CJ5, so your responses have been helpful. One question I have relates to the pulleys, and I apologize for my ignorance. I have single belt pulleys now on my vehicle. Do I need to change out to double belt pulleys or just get a longer belt to go around the power steering pulley?
