Alternator ID?

    Hey guys,
    I took the fenders off, for ease of access getting to some things I want to do and get the motor running. I hadn't really previously noticed for some reason, but I have an alternator and I don't know what it is. Are there ID plates on them or something that I can use as a key for figuring out what this piece is? thanks. I also took the cover off the front diff. About 15% of the teeth on the ring gear are gone, but the rest of everything looks good in there so I'll just put the cover back on and fill it with fluid until I take Blue apart in 2 years for the rebuild. I included pics for everyone's enjoyment.

    Based on the fact that I know just enough to be dangerous I believe it is a 10SI. It doesn't have an external voltage regulator does it? The SI means system internal or something like that which denotes an internal regulator that determines output. Somebody will give you the real skinny if I screwed-up though.

    I'm pretty sure that it's internally regulated yes. I fugured that much but I"m not too good with atlernators

    Delco Remy. If no ext regulator (as said) then it the SI model. You should find a series of numbers to tell you the amp out capability.
