sending unit locations?

    I have a 69 cj5 with a v6. I am a little confused about the sending unit locations for oil and temp. None of these sending units were hooked up when I got the jeep. I have located where the oil (mechanical gauge) line is located, but the intake manifold still baffles me. I have 2 suspected locations for temp sending units. 1 is located near the thermostat housing that exits towards the passenger side of the motor and looks to be 1/2 - 9/16 pipe thread. The other location is behind the carb a little offset toward the driver side with maybe 1/4 or slightly larger threads. Any help would be appreciated.
