which comes first the single tie rod etc. or the saginaw box

since i will need to do this repair of my 69 steering in stages due to $, i am thinking that i will replace the two piece tie rods with one and also the drag link. get the 85 wag or cherokee laredo steering column in stalled and then wait to get the saginaw/pitman power box.

then i can position the box on the repaired front driver's frame horn.

does this make sense or do i need to install this all at once. im not gonna be driving it anywhere after i start this.

in other words i am assuming that i should find a box and pitman that will mate best with the rods and position it with those rods in place already.

i can probably pick up the rods from an 98 wrangler for not too much $$ and have them resized. i might even be able to get the saginaw from it as well for not too much. i am looking for a box that will give me about 4 to 4 1/2 turns from stop to stop.
