First off, the carb. I have a 75 renegade 304 with the factory motorcraft carb. Now I've heard they are good carbs for offroading and until know I didnt had any problem with it. Know I have kind of like a problem, It kind of floods when trying to accelerate from low rpm, but its not often. The thing is that I have a friend who has a cj-7 with the L6 engine and he did a swap of his carb to a dodge one. He was told that a dodge carb is good for offroading. My question is: is that true?? or is the dodge carb better than a L6 engine carb but not better than a motorcraft.

About the brakes, recently me and a couple of friends a re finishing the disc brake swap on my 74 cj-5 and someone told me that 78 jeep brakes are better that 79, the word he used was "they are the heavy duty ones" so dont know how much truth that has??
