Getting ready to do my first work on a "new" 60 CJ5 with stock F134. This is my first and, unlike a lot of you guys, I'm not a gearhead. In looking at several FLAPs websites, I've come up with the following for a few basic parts:

    Oil Filter: Plugs:

    Purolater L20700 ? Champion CHA 871 Cu+
    Autolite ASP 295
    NGR 3522

    FRAM C3P ?
    NAPA FIL 1010

for future reference, you'll want to put everything related to *your* Jeep in the "Early CJ-5 and CJ-6 Tech" board, not the Intermediate board. Early is 55-71, Intermediate is 72-75.

That didn't work well, let me try it again (cleaning my mouse and it went off???)

    OIL FILTER

    Purolater L20700 ?
    FRAM C3P ?
    NAPA FIL 1010

    PLUGS

    Champion CHA 871 Cu+
    Autolite ASP 295
    NGR 3522

The question marks indicate the Advanced site seems to think that the engine is an L134 vice F134. Is there a difference insofar as plugs and oil filter? The reason for asking is that I have a couple of Advanced gift card and would like to use them, if possible.

And, yes, I've searched the board but can't seem to find what I need. Much appreciate any info.

You should put this on the Early CJ5 board not this one. Can somebody move this thread?

L and F head are both 4 cyl, but different. You should buy a copy of the FSM off of ebay or somewhere. Also, there are parts manuals available.

I use the NAPA and Oreilly web sites a lot for parts info, as well as www.jeepdoc.com
