231 intake manifold

I just came by a 79 231 minus the intake manifold. Will the 78 231 intake fit it. I am trying to stay with the 2g carb. It looks like in 79 they went to a different carb. Thanks Larry

 

Late '78 they went to a Dualjet carb which is basically the same as a Quadrajet with the secondary's cut off. If non computer controlled it's a great carburetor. Why not use it? As good as the 2g. Won't say it's better but every bit as good.
The '78 intake should fit with the right intake gasket.

 

I was more wooried about the intake fit. It sounds not a problem with the 79 manifold. I am just more familiar with 2g. I had dealt with the computer controller card and it was a pain. It looks like the 79 carb and manifold will be the way to go. Thanks Larry
