    I have a 70 cj5 with a chevy 305, sm465 trans, d18 trx case.

I found these axles in our classifieds and was wondering if they would work with my application.

    Front:
Dana 30 New Disk Brakes, All seals redone, 5.38 gears, Brake Lines, Lock-right locker.

    Rear:
Dana 44: New Drum Brakes, All Seals Redone, Brake Lines, Chrom-Moly Shafts, Spider Rock Guard, 5.38 gears, Detroit Locker, 2" Spacers.
    (Rear OFFSET Pumpkin)
    Narrow Axles

i asked what year he was going to use them for and he replied with: Started with a 74' went to 77' wider axle(in rear) means weld new spring perches(****ed me off, my fault). The 77 is wider in the rear. Long story short call if you want 'll tell you yes or no on the 70' depends on the xfer case.

And, what am i looking at for top speed without winding the motor out. I like doing 80. Thanks for your help.

Your '70 should already have a Dana 44 rear. The front 30 will work. As for going 80 mph, what size tires do you run and do you have an overdrive? With 33's and 5.38's with no Overdrive you are looking at 4300 rpm at 80 mph...
