    Hi guys,

Bought 1974 CJ5 Renegade a few months ago in England (RH drive). Very little knowledge or parts here for older Jeeps that I can find so after some help.

There is no temperature sender that I can find. The engine is an AMC I6 232. Anyone know where it should be? In the block or head? Picture would be great. There are two strange plugs in the lower block on manifold side, one with three pipes coming out at 90 degrees and one with two but these aren't electrical connectors.

Secondly will a wrangler boss fit steering splines? or do I need specific boss for say Momo wheel? Cheers, Jas

Just above the sender is the thermostat housing.

The hree hose thing in the block is a Temperature controlled valve to disable the EGR or Canister Purge when the engine cold.

The temperature sender is on the front of the head near the water neck and above the water pump pulley.
