I have A 1969 Half Cab and wanted some input from everyone about what models are most common, I am sure the front is a 27 model but how many splines will that have? Also what are the most common rear axles for that Jeep is it a 44 or 30 and what would the spline count be for those.

Also I am thinking about putting lockers on front and rear and would like some input on what you guys think would be the best set up for the Jeep.

    Summary
    34 TSL
    4 inch HC spirngs
    T-14 Trans
    D 20 tcase
Very seldom is the jeep on the road mainly my play toy off road Usually is trailered when I take it places.

Thank you all for your help and input

Being a 69 it *may* have a splined 44 rear but most likely a 30. Front is a 27, not sure the spline count off hand. Really don't know of a lot of people putting lockers in them though, most upgrade to a 30 front.

Front D27 will have 10-spline shafts. The rear 44 w/ 2-piece shafts (big nut on the wheel end) I believe was 19 or 27-spline. Rear 44 w/ 1-piece shafts should be 30 spline. I've also seen a 1-pc 44 with 27 splines. It was the right width for a jeepster, but I don't know what it came out of. I have no idea on the rear D30... never seen one.

All from my quickly failing memory... Someone please correct me if needed.

If your lucky you might find a factory power-loc for the rear and maybe the front. Can convert the rear to a full floater. Do a search on here or find a flanged offset 44 from a 70-71 which will bolt right in. Run your 27 for now and see how it holds up, there not as bad as people make them out to be.
