ok. So I did an axle swap on my 71 jeepster. I put an open knuckle dana 30 in the front. I have a dana 20 transfer mounted to a t-400 tranny. I dont want to use the stock 2piece driveshaft.
What yoke do I need for the dana 20?
Is there a driveshaft that will work that I can order online vs having a custom one made? ive heard that a cherokee will work but Im not sure as to what year and all. Any help will be great thanks.

If you have a spare D20 kicking around a rear yoke will work on the front. Driveshaft will need to be custom, don't recall anyone finding one that will drop right in.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

the shaft will have to be made, either way.
you can run the small joint at the D20, and the larger at the D30
or, change the yoke at the D20 to the larger joint style
    if it's coarse splined (10) I think a 4cyl D18 yoke would work.
if it's fine spline, then another yoke will have to be acquired as mentioned above.
I don't recall the period of change, coarse to fine spline.
seems all the replacement D20 shafts nowadays are fine spline

    thanks for the info.
I guess I have to pull the yoke to see what spline count I have.
I was trying to stay away from the custom axle route since my local shops here are charging and arm and a leg to do it. I looked online and found custom axles in various lengths so I thought I might be able to go that route. I read somewhere that a Cherokee driveshaft would work but I cant remember where.

    It's a coarse spline.
