Priming engine oil for start-up. Engine is oiling very well on right side rockerarms and barely oiling on left side rockers. Is something plugged or is this normal.

If you have the rocker arm shaft in backwards it will not oil. The shaft has a notch where the cotter pin goes. Notch forward on right side and to the rear on the left.

OK, I found the notches they are both facing the back. You say that the right side (passenger side) should face forward, but that's the side thats's oiling well. Is it oiling too well and not letting enoughj oil to the left side (drivers side).

So I removed the rocker arms on the right and reversed the shaft, no difference. The oil flows on the right and barely oils on the left. I don't think the shaft direction through the rockers makes any difference. I think the notches are there so you install the complete assembly right. Means how the heads are opposite of each other so do the rockers have to be.
So know I'm back to my original problem. Is heavier flow on the right normal or not.

I was quoting from the FSM on the placement of the notch. Also the notch must face outward. It states that oil ports must coincide with oil passages of the rocker arms. If they do not, the engine oil has no return path from the cylinder head to the crankcase; in that case, engine oil flows down the valve stems and burns in the cylinder. The V6 is not know for a lot of oil splashing around the head like a chevy. Mine shows very little oil while running and it appears to be the same with many others as well.

I think I've got it. It's the right side(the one that was oiling ) that was wrong. Not only was the shaft in backwards it was also in upside down. Now when I prime it both sides just barly oil as you discribed. Thanks for your help Walt.

Shaft mounted rockers do not oil like a small block chevy. They simply ooze oil out on to the shaft and lube everything. The shafts could be backwards, the oil holes plugged or the cam bearings installed slightly out of sync.
