Rebuilt Motorcraft 2100 Vacuum Leak

    I rebuilt my Motorcraft 2100 using a Walker rebuild kit and found out the insulator gasket was too thin causing a vacuum leak. Unfortunately I had already thrown away the original gasket. Any ideas on finding a thicker one?

    Went to the auto parts store and ordered a Felpro gasket. It is thicker than the rebuild kit gasket and now it runs great. Pretty ridiculous that they send a bad gasket with a rebuild kit. I bet there are hundreds of people that are have the same problem. Spray carb cleaner at the base of the carb while running and you will have your answer!
