axle shaft u-joint rubber seal question

    so i got my u-joints for my d27 shafts...when i was removing the u-joints from the shafts,2 things were noticed...one had a zerk fitting hole, but no fitting was installed..since its "not servicable" in the knuckle..they are not needed,,correct....?

    second...neither u-joints had the rubber seals on the caps...you could see the needles a bit..was this so the oil can get in there, there was no "grease" in them just the knuckle oil....so..no rubber seals or use them?

    yes. unless you fill the knuckles with grease, you don't need the zerk or the rubber seals.
