whos runnin a sm465 and a dana 300

    im workin on the driveline while im waitin on my waggy axle to be found . so heres where im at ive got a np205 with the adapter and a dana 300 a 4.3 v6 and no tranny lookin real hard at a sm465 ive got a line on 2) one with a 208 adapter which for the most part bolts right to my dana 300 has anyone done the sm465dana 300 without usin the novak or AA adapters not that im cheap but i do squeak when i walk lol

    You trying to fit this in a flatty? I'm guessing so as that's where it's posted. Better get out the tape measure as most of the 465-208 adapters I've seen are pretty long. Not saying it can't work but may be very, very tight. At the least the motor will need to be moved as far forward as possible.
    Length is one the biggest issues and one the manufacturer's of aftermarket adapters work very hard to overcome. That's why they can be spendy.

    ya ive takin that into acct. on acct. i aint got no money lol wheel base is extended frt and rear if i dont have enough room ill end up usin just a 205 case . but i gotta try it

    Im running this set up with a novak adapter behind a v8 and no frame lengthening. Yes, its tight. I run a tom woods cv shaft, if I remember right, the shaft is 11" long.

    I know guy that runs the set up, but has a high pinion D44 rear (A Ford front pumpkin re-tubed to reduce rear drive line angle.

    just shortened the combo found a sm420 . ill be runnin a sm420 dana 300 combo
