Not sure you can. The T14 has a 10 splined output which makes it an odd ball since most others are a 6 spline.

If you want to keep the 2.46-1 low range you have in the 18 you will need the slider gear from an Early T shift Bronco transfer case. 18-8-37 is the #. You will also need to grind the inside of the case. Fair warning, can be hard to find. If you are ok with running the stock 2.03-1 low range then just put the 20 parts back on. You cannot run the 18 front output parts (shaft, shift rails, housing, shifter sticks, etc.) with the 20 as they don't interchange unless you want two rear outputs and odd shift patterns.

Warloch's right, the T-14 is a 10 spline output shaft vs. the 6 spline of other transmissions but both the 20 and 29 tooth input 18 transfer case were used behind the T-14 so you just need the right input gear for the transfer case.

Nick - will the pitch on the 18 gears work with the 20s? I have heard both yea and nea in the past and thought you might know for sure.

I don't know for sure but common pressure angles on stuff changed back in the 70's from 14 1/2* to 20*, the 2 angles will not interchange. I could tell you if I had both in my hand to check if they were the same.

Gear pitch is easy enough to check if you can measure the OD and know the number of teeth.

I've heard people claim they work but the one time I tried it I had horrible noise/vibration issues. Could've been an anomaly but with the work of swapping them out I'm not going to be the guinea pig to test it out again:D
