I was at the wreckers looking to make up an intermediate steering shaft for my covertion (S10 box and column) . I came across a JeepTJ shaft that seemed to have every thing going for it (length, u joints, and ends) But I dont recall any mention of this shaft for any other covertions Ive seen, am I missing something? Also I need a new rad for my S10 4.3 transplant as the one the po put in my cj3 is so long that the shaft would go right through it. I was hoping some could suggest a wrecking yard one. Even though some after market ones are reasonably priced the shipping to up here really adds up. Thanks

I would just measure the shaft ends and length you may need. I use after market joints for my saginaw convertions, but they are pretty common fittings.

Mustang and Ferio Rads have been mentioned. I had one custom built or move the fittings on the 4cyls to work.

Monza radiators work well, know of two running with the stock fans and they wheel them pretty hard in the snow.

I used a TJ intermediate shaft on my 2A along with a Cherokee steering column and ps steering box. The shaft extends and compresses about 10" as I recall so it easily fit my application and lots of others too I suspect.

That's the radiator I have, only I'm running two electric fans.

Volvo radiators work really well for flatties as they have a remote expansion tank with the radiator cap on it. They can be mounted with the top right up flush with the hood without having to leave room for a classic style cap sticking up. They are plentiful in wrecking yards as I have never seen a Volvo owner cause a crash in 22 years as a Firefighter, much less rear-end someone and bash in the grill like so many Fords end up.
