leaf springs what fits what

    will the leaf springs from a cj7 fit a cj5 ? thank you for any answers

    Not a bolt in swap, they're wider for starters. If you're talking early '5 like yours that is.

    sorry about that mine is a 66 cj5. the ones i looked at on cl didnt specify a year i was just looking for a bolt up situation. my cj has sag a$$ syndrome and in the front too from having a plow

    Definitely not a "bolt on". You'd need springs from '55 to '75. Lots of differences in spring rates and such. if you can find decent springs from a '73-75 with a V-8 that would help with the plow. Keep in mind that stock springs from even a '75 are 36 years old......

    Hate to say it but I'd recommend new ones or take offs from a known source.

    You might check out lift kits! I just bought a Rough Country 2.5 inch lift complete with four springs/ shocks/ and u-bolts for 368.00 delivered to my door..
    Or is there a shop near you that can re-arch and build up your springs?
    FYI, if you do order a lift! CJ5's pre 68 lift and 69-75 lift are listed different. However the difference is u-bolt sizes only and I still had to have some made for my D25 front end.
