I just got off the phone with quadratec. They now carry the electronic ignition conversion but I have been told by everyone that there is no conversion for my vacuum advanced dist. I have a 1960 CJ3B F-134 with dist. #IAT 1041 AutoLite. The guy at quadratec disagreed and said it would work fine. Who is right?

If you are going with the Pertronix unit, call them and ask for technical help. (800) 827-3758. The P/N label on my distributer is missing and the guy I got was still able to help me after some discriptive info. I know which unit I need, just got to talk myself into spending the money.

Don't walk, RUN to the phone to order the Pertronix setup. IMHO, there are few other mods you can do to your Jeep to make it more reliable and smoother-running. ;)

I put in the Petronix today, was done in about 15 minutes, first time I ever took a distributer cap off. I bought a new coil, rotor, and the ignitor igintion, total was about $120. It made a HUGE difference in the way the motor idles and power. It was noticeable immediately, and I thought I was doing all right before the change. Well worth the money, and if your coil is good then that saves you $32. Mine was fine, just wanted to put in all new ignition parts.

The best thing about the petronix is that you only have to buy the one kit, no new plug wires or fabrication needed. Just follow the simple instructions.

Let me know if anybody would like any part numbers or pics. I put mine in for the dauntless but they have kits for all motors. Their web page has all the products listed.
