I was at the pull-a-part the other day looking at a 73 DJ5, trying to figure out what else I could pull to use on the CJ. I noticed that in the inside rear, just above the fuel tank, there is an plate screwed to the floor for access to the fuel sender. It looked exactly like the clutch inspection plate used on the 74 and earlier CJ's.

I got home and compared the two, and they are identical. So, if you're missing one of these plates you now have another source. The only difference is that the DJ plate does not have the flat spot as the CJ plate does...easily modified.

The holes line up perfectly, here's the original CJ over the DJ plate...

The hood and fenders will fit on an early as well but you have to trim the fender where the shock mount is. You can cut out the inserts on the frame of a postal to box in an early frame. The postal also has mounts on the front bumper you can use to stiffen up the front end. they bolt from the bumper to the frame.

I also used the heater in my 5 it puts out much more heat than the old stocker. it bolts up nicely on the firewall under the dash.
