The frame on my 75 CJ5 is bent from the forward rear spring hangers to the back of the jeep. It is out about 1 1/2" it was out about 3" but I hooked some comealongs to a couple trees and pulled it around some they were in a hell of a bind to get that much. I dont want to pull on it anymore because i'm scared i'll bend it somewhere else before it straightens out in the correct location. Does anyone no how much a frame shop would charge to fix it or would I be better off and money ahead to by a new frame? Or advice on how to correctly fix it myself would be apriciated.

if the rest of the frame is in good condition and not rusted out i would just go call around and talk to several differnt body shops to see what there hourly rate is for frame frpair with a frame machine. if that is the only bad spot it should not take much more than an hour to get it all straightend back out. are your body mounts all jacked up because of the bent frame? what about the rear crossmember?

The body mounts are out of wack a little but not to bad. As far as the rest of the frame there is no rust or cracks and the rear cross member is fine. It was wrecked from the PO and the gas tank is no good but there is no way a new one will fit with the frame bent that much so its got to be fixed. And man are they proud of new gas tanks.

I agree with roadhog.....frame shop would knock that out in no time, betting in the hundred dollar range. Cheaper than time/money getting another....imho
