Tires are getting old and i'm thinking of putting on some new rubber. Going to stay stock rim/hubcaps (thought of getting a set of slotted, still might someday) not sure what the stock width is and currently she has white wall snow tread 215/75 r15's on her. I can get Kelly Wintermark in a 235(should fit??) and keep the period look (don't really want street pattern tires) or go with something current looking up to 30x9.50?? (for the chuckle, thought about National Commando tires)

I tried to have the image "pop" up but I gave myself a red x, so I should do what? tried 3 times so I punted. OK so I guess I can't use my Flicker so started a photo bucket and....magic LOL

If you are wanting the original look the Kelley tires look great and I have had success with KS tires in fleet use. The tread pattern should be just right for MI. I think you would like the 235's and I don't see any issues with them fitting.

I can't comment on the size but I have had good luck with Kelleys in the past. And you should keep the whitewalls. Nice looking Jeepster, by the way.

235's would be fine or even 30's. I've been running 225 and 235's on mine. I like the idea of the National tires, just something about tires with the same name as your Jeep. I remember the first time I saw them, first thought was "GOT to have a set of those some day" R),

I think I'll have the shop order up the white walls, when we bought the Jeep we wanted a set of Gates Commandos for it but the tires that were on it were to good, they were very close to those traxion tires. All I can remember as a kid was the first ride of the year and having my teeth almost shaken out from the flat spots of those tires. (the Jeeps not a high miler just under 28k since we picked it up from the factory in Toledo)
Next on the list fix the front bumper and have a new top made. the last ones going to hurt the pocket! but if it last another 40yrs I guess its cheap per year (its going to be over a grand)

    thanks for the input
    Tony
