72 CJ5 Clutch pedal too high

I'm trying to lower my clutch pedal which is about 2" higher than my gas pedal.

The service manual from Trailforge.com shows a cable coming from the clutch pedal but I have an adjustable rod. In any event, the rod is weak enough where I think it will break if I try to adjust it out.

My question: What is this rod called and where can I get one?

Imagine that...it's called a clutch rod. Sometimes I make things waaaay too complicated.
