I have access to a hard top for a 67 CJ5..any idea if it will fit my 72 cj5? I am able to make some minor mods if necessary.

    Thanks!

I currently have a Meyers Hard top from the mid 60s and am running it on my 73 Cj5. The one your looking at should fit your 72 providing you dont have the 75 and latter style windshield.

It should fit, I have a '65 Meyers on my '74.
To make sure before I paid the $$ and hauled it home.
I measured across the windshield, (59 1/2" but don't hold me to it)
Then from the top of the windshield frame to the back of the tub, holdiong the tape measuer parrelle with the tub
Then I took 2- 1"X2" about 12"- 14" long and made a "L", but not a "L" it was the angle from the tub to the windshield.
I used 2 screws to lock it in place.
Once I got that angle I just matched it up the the P.O. jeep, (just to make sure he didn't swap frames with a earlier model witrh a straight up frame.
I KNEW it'd fit but just to make sure.........................
It did and the jeep and I are happy now!bunny with a pancake
