    Sorry for the long post......
72 cj5 with a 232 T-14 dana 20, Engine had no oil pressure at warmup, replaced oil pump 3000 miles back. Head was completely rebuilt less than 10,000 miles back (Burnt valve), new water pump 4-5000 miles back.
Found a steal on another 232 from an Eagle, low miles, ran great. Leaking rear main was why it was parked. I have the engine on my stand upside down with the oil pan off, ready to tackle it. Should I take the extra time to rob the 3000 mile old oil pump from the original engine? (Its on an engine stand also). What about the water pump, OK to use?... Will I gain anything by putting the 10,000 mile old head on? Should I possibly try to sell the "new" 232 head for parts cash?
All ideas and suggestion welcome.....Thanks in advance?

First off if it's out of an Eagle it'll be a 258 and if it's an 81 up with the plastic valve cover the head won't work. Pump should be OK but depending what oil pan you use you will have to change the oil pickup tube/screen.

Let me rephrase myself. Was it a Spirit that AMC used in the late 70s? Can't remember the excact model but itt was an AMC mid size, and I ran the engine number, it is a 232of 1979 manufacture, 1bbl carb just like mine only smogged to death. pprobably swap my intake and exhaust to it as well.

Since both are out I'd certainly go with the rebuilt head, you already know the condition it's in. All you really know about the head on the donor is that it's low mileage. Same with the oil pump.
