For all of you guys that have done the V6 conversion maybe you can help me out with a couple of questions:
    1. Did anyone not do a hydraulic clutch? If so were you able to use the original cross shaft linkage and how did that work? I'm open for suggestions
    2. how did you hook up your gas pedal linkage, since it doesn't look like you can use the same from the 4 cyl.

Thanks for any bits of wisdom you might be able to throw my way.

I used the cross shaft from a 67-71 cj5 with a v6, it's slightly diff. but works great. I also used the factory motor mounts. If you can find a cheap donor it works great. I used a fuel pedal from a v6 Jeep as well bit left my old pedal from my flatty in and modified it.

I used all my stock clutch mechanism 'stuff' for my v-6 swap. IIRC, I extended the cable with some 1/4" rod and a welder, and I modified the cross-bar thing too, but cant remember exactly what I did.

It has worked great for a year now, and didn't cost me a dime.

For a gas pedal, I robbed one out of a 94 Silverado from the junkyard. It worked but gave my leg a cramp on long drives, so I cut off the pedal pad, and made a rod extension so that it all worked off the stock pedal pivoting off the floor. Much more comfortable now.

Here's a bit more info on my swap:

I used stock V6 mechanical bellcrank type throttle linkage on my V6 conversion in my flatfender.

Were you able to keep the manual hand throttle, the one that is hand operated?
