piston rings

    i have a stock 1972 stock bore can anyone tell me the thickness of the rings i found a set from summit but they don't specify the motor they fit they only say v-8 the thicknesses are 5/64- 5/64-3/16 can anyone help thanks sorry it's a 304

    Can't find anything in the manual on ring thickness but groove height is .0795 to .0805 for the compression rings and .1880 to .1895 for the oil control so they would be in the correct range dimensionally. 5/64=.078125, 3/16=.1875
    Assuming your bores have no taper/out of round/gouges/scratches that would require machining?
