Jeep leaking at cowl seam

I am trying to waterproof my jeep for the upcoming winter. Lots of leaking last year. Tested it yesterday and it is leaking at the cowl seam or channel that is below the hood hinges. What would be the best way to seal that channel? Weather stipping? Shoe goo? Somehting else?

    Thank you,

    Peter

    nickmil In mothballs.

Auto body seam sealer. You can buy it in tubes at any quality automotive paint store. It stays soft so allows for body flex. IIRC that's what should be there or was there at one time.

I've used the marine sealant, Sika-flex. It stayes flexible, its paintable and is uv resistant.

Great. THank you. My shoe goo idea did not seem to work very well.

Its not a permanent fix, I did mine about 15 years ago and its been leaking for a couple of years now.
