I will be going out this weekend to look at another Jeep. The guy is not sure of the year or the model he thinks it is a 1960 CJ ??? the bad news it has not run in several years the good news he has a factory metal top with metal doors and the factory steel wheels. I will get some pictures and share them with you guys.

Hawk Point? I used to eat pancakes at the Hawk Pointer when I was a lineman for the phone company. I remember they were as big as the plate and you weren't worth a dime for working if you ate it all.

If it's not totally rusted out, it's well worth $500. does he have at title for it?

It'll run give it gas and electricity. I got a 47 for $500. I did have to run it off a gas can. But it ran. A little punch and hammer action got the tranny unfroze. Bled the brakes and with only $50 into it I turned around and sold it for $1000.

must be the time to buy 66's, i am getting mine this weekend. It has a steel top, pto winch, 225 v-6, and someone has grafted a saginam power steering on her.. the only real complant is, she has a bad trany. adn I don't know yet if it is a 90 or a 86. when I get the greese scrape off I will know. and it has some old bias ply tires.

    for $1500 I don't think I can go wrong

Ok I went out and checked out the Jeep today, it is a 1960 CJ-5 with the F head 4 cylinder engine it looks all stock it comes with 5 16 inch wheels with older 6.00-16 snow tires it also comes with a metal top with doors and all bolts to re-install. It does not run right now as it has a hole in the raditior and the mouses have eaten the rubber oil line that goes from the filter to the pump. It is stuck in low range but it comes with a complete transfer case. I have a few questions about the steel top it looks like the one I saw for a 1960 JEEP ad are these tops worth any money? I have pictures if someone could help me post them. Thanks Joe

Pic didn't work. Looks like part of the link tag or whatever it's called is missing. A good hard top can be worth anywhere from $300 on up depending on what it is, how complete, etc. Especially during winter time when the weather is not so good. Also depends on area though. Sometimes you gotta be patient if selling one.

I saw an ad on ebay for a 1960 Jeep metal top the one that comes with this 1960 is the same one that is in the ad, I would say it is 100% complete and in very nice shape doors have no rust or dents same as the top very solid. I was just checking to see if they have any real value. Thanks for your input.
