Hello all. I just bought a 1967 Jeepster Commando pick up that I stumbled upon at an orchard near my house. I was just out shopping for apples and pumpkins when I noticed a distinctive Jeep grill peering out from just inside one of the barns. I only half heartedly asked if it was for sale, and to my surprise it was. The farmer let me take a closer look at it and not only did it start right up and run great, but it only had 14,848K original miles on it! Apparently it was only used on the orchard. It was also remarkably complete and original. I was not in the market for a restoration project, but this this just seemed like too rare of a find to pass up. So I am now the proud owner of this gem.

Never having restored a vehicle before I felt like I was in over my head, but I've gotten lots of advice and help from some of my Jeep friends. Right now the body has been mostly disassembled. My plans are to restore it as original as possible. I was glad to find this Commando forum because I know I will have questions along the way. Here are a few pictures:

Ya, I guess I'd have a hard time passing that up too. Nice find :tea:.
