working on my cj6

i plan to bring the cj back to stock look because i want to do a little less wild offroading.....
i drove the jeep with 33" beadlocks and fr&re arb locker to places where i could easy destroy my cj and hurt me or the kids.

with 30" tires and no lift iam sure i come to most places but dont to the dangerus ones...

so, i have painted the wheels and put new 30" tires on it .
after looking for almost 1 year i found a spare mounting bracket for the side (they are rare in austria because they are not 100% legal......)









next week i put the totaly rebuild axles under the cj with the original shakles and when it gets warmer i paint the hard top white.

Good idea Wuze. You got the CJ5 to wheel with. That CJ6 is in real nice shape like you said.

came only with the 7 and 8" wheels, right, and not with the "normal" ones i use.
some one use them on the wheels i have?

i have a set and i like them and the holes are easy drilled....

i have done nothing to my 6 in the last weeks, to much work at the gas stationand to cold.

my 6 is a 1979 and the tires are cooper trendsetter in 235/75-15.

i like the new style!
so much better to drive, i wish i would have 3.73 insted of 4.10......but iam ok, i dont go faster than 70 on the autobahn.

6 looks good. Tough question. Green is good and the white will be cooler in summer and looks just as good. How about all white on the top ?

 

my wife say NO to the white ht but i think she need a pic. to see how it looks . not one that run through the paint program by an amateur.

so, i look for a pic of a green cj with white hard top, other dark color is also ok ( the jeep not the ht) but green would be cool.

I saw a picture a little bit ago, with the Meyers top all white, but they left the door body color (green) up to the second rib on the door under the window. It looked really sharp!

ok found the picture.

I'd round the paint line at the back by the handle so it's not a 90 degree angle. I like the pin stripe as well.
