1969 Kaiser Jeep CJ5 Seat replacement

    I recently purchased a 69 Kaiser CJ5 and purchased some Smittybilt seats which were advertised to "fit using the original bolts and existing frame pattern". Which was BS (learned not to purchase from Morris Jeep 4x4).

    Obviously these seats don't fit. Does anyone know of any adapters or sliders that may be an easy fix?

    They are about 3/4 inch off the original holes (short). I am looking for some type of slider adapter B/C my fiancee is 4' 11" and cannot reach the fuel pedal with the current "fixed" set-up.

    I had the same problem with my smittybuilt seats I just redrilled the holes either on the seat or frames and made them fit

    That is where I am - buy sliders that fit and modify the frame(s).

    just an fyi that I've seen. 68 and 69 seem to be an odd set of years for parts. some 69's have 68 parts, and some 68's have 69 parts. Just make sure you know what you have and need when ordering. The cutoff for alot of the parts is 68 or 69 in most parts catalogs.
