I have been working on this all summer but only sparingly because of the heat. Yesterday I got the new intake manifold put on and at the same time was able to clean and paint the rocker covers. I went with the Alpine Green as a tribute to the Dauntless V6 that came out. I figure no where else would appreciate that color choice as much as the guys here!

Dang - looks like an 'upgrade' in HP for sure...

BTW - be sure to put your FI for sale here. I think several folks would like to get the Holly setup you were running on the Dauntless.

It's the LM7 so the internet says about 315 hp and about 355 tq! It's a lot closer than it looks, I have the fuel pump, the wiring and the bellhousing/clutch all sorted and ready to go!

How is the complexity of this project? I would like to do this conversion eventually. Looks good.

Renegage, It's fairly complex but really not that bad. Motor, motor mounts, bellhousing, clutch, xfer case adapter, fuel pump, wiring exhaust. Pretty much like any other V8 swap you just end up with an LS which is awesome!

72, Novak adapters (local to me here in Utah) makes this swap pretty simple, they have the motor mounts, the exhaust headers, a wiring service that takes the factory harness and computer and removes all the circuits you don't need (power windows, cruise control, theft immobilizer, etc.) cleans everything, adds in a circuit for an electric fan, flashes for your axle ratios and manual or automatic, and makes it a stand alone engine management harness where all you do is all 12v power. They even sell a factory AC Delco fuel pump mounted to a stock CJ fuel pickup and assembly and sending unit. I think this swap may be easier than a TBI 5.7 and the 5.3 sits in the engine bay like it was made for it!

    Pics and videos for sure!!

Thanks! I have been studying their site. I will be keeping my t18/d20 combo so it sounds like motor mounts, wiring and adapting the trans. Of course there is more to it but that seems like the basics.
