Folding Windshield Latches

I want to paint the latches, will the nuts fall out to netherland when I remove the bolts?

 

There should be threaded plates behind the dash for the hooks and will fall out when both screws are removed. Should fall out on the floor. The nuts for the latch part are integral to the windshield frame.
